Our Coach Hire History

Ellisons is a well established family business, founded in the 1920's by the current Director's grandfather.

Back then, the converted coal trucks would transport company employees from St Helens to Blackpool for their summer outing.

The Company was taken into the 20th Century by Stan Magowan, who was awarded an MBE for his services to the travel industry and he expanded the car and coach side of the business, as well as opening a travel agents in 1961, when he couldn't find the right holiday for his honeymoon!

In the 1960's, Ellisons became the offical team vehicle for Liverpool Football Club, a client that is still retained today, through quality and service.

Now it is Stan's sons, Michael and Andrew, who have put together some of the best vehicles of their kind in the country and have an impressive fleet of coaches, serving the whole of the UK. Luxury Coaches fitted out to an amazing standard.

Specialising in Corporate Hospitality, more Premiership Football Teams have been added, to an impressive client list, including:  Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Bolton.  The England Rugby Team also use Ellisons coaches throughout their season.
